Gallivantin' with Gough - Fall, 2006
Wellsir, it don't seem possible but the long, hot Summer
is about over, thank Goodness! What with high gas prices
and weeks of triple digit heat, we've stayed pretty
close to the "Rancho Notso Grande". We took the camper
on a fateful trip to Oklahoma in May to do a show with
"Playboys II" and on the return trip got caught in a
hellatious hail storm that darn near destroyed the RV.
After it was fixed, we took a few days off and camped on
the Guadalupe near Kerrville. The year has not been good
for business...not many spots, gigs or movies! The gigs
we played were great though. We had a six piece band
with twin fiddles...how about that? Gail's trio played
for the AHS Reunion in April, and was a big hit!
We're pleased to say after a long time in the works we
both have a new CD finished. They are shown
here on the site. Gail's
Jazz Trio and my new "cowboy" record.
I did do some interesting Louis L'amour westerns for
Blackstone Audio. Four to be exact. Got a great
review on one on a web-site called 'book-watch'.
I'm real excited to say my old radio programs, "Rhythm
Roundup" that I recorded in Houston in the '80's, are
premiering on the web this month on
www.twangtownusa.com. Hope you'll give it a listen.
That's about it for now, hope our trails cross soon.
